I SURVIVED MY OWN DARKNESS.
I BUILT A LIFE OUT OF IT.
NOW I HELP YOU DO THE SAME.

I’m Sara Syms. I’ve been writing songs my whole life — but everything changed when music became the thing that kept me alive.

When I went into treatment, I didn’t stop writing. I wrote through it. I breathed through it. I came out the other side with a new purpose and two albums that tell the whole story — The Darkest Light and I Love You, Keep Going — named for the moment I realized my darkness wasn’t something to fix. It was something to understand.

I’m not a therapist. I’m someone who went through it, came back, and built a practice out of everything that saved me: music, breath, and radical honesty (the credentials followed — trauma-informed breathwork, somatic practice, mental health and substance use recovery. Lived it first. Learned it after.)

If you’re ready to stop surviving and start living — let’s work together.

This work will meet you exactly where you are.

People come in carrying things they can’t fully explain. Anxiety that won’t quit. Emotions that live in the body but never make it to words. Years of therapy that helped intellectually but never quite landed. And then something shifts.

They leave feeling lighter. Clearer. More themselves than they’ve been in years. Some say it’s the deepest work they’ve ever done. Others just say: I finally felt safe enough to let go.

That’s what this work is. Not a program. Not a protocol. A space where something that’s been held for a long time finally gets to move.

Two ways in. Both lead somewhere real.

1:1 Support Session

For the person who knows all the right things —
and still can’t feel them.

You’ve done the therapy. You’ve read the books. You can explain your trauma, your patterns, your triggers. And yet…

Something isn’t moving.

This session is for that gap — the space between knowing and feeling. We work through whatever is coming up using breath, music, and honest conversation. No script. No performance. Just a real space to finally let what you know drop into your body.

$80 (60 min) / $100 (90 min)

Somatic Breathwork Session

For when talking isn’t enough anymore.

You’ve said the words. You’ve told the story. Maybe a hundred times. And it still lives in your chest, your throat, your gut.

Breathwork goes where conversation can’t. In this 2-hour session we use trauma-informed breath practice to help your nervous system release what it’s been holding — not because you figured it out, but because your body finally felt safe enough to let go.

You don’t need to know anything. You don’t need to be ready.
You just need to show up.

$125 (2 hours)

I offer trauma-informed breathwork and coaching, but I’m not a licensed therapist. If you need clinical or crisis-level support, a licensed mental health professional can provide necessary care.

What people actually experience

“I came into the session carrying anxiety, tension, and emotional heaviness I couldn’t fully explain. Somehow through the breath it all began to move. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to myself than I have in a long time.” — Emily T.

“My breathwork session with Sara was one of the most powerful and healing experiences I’ve had. From the moment we began I felt completely safe, held, and guided with such care. I was able to release emotions I didn’t even realize I was still carrying. Gentle yet incredibly transformative.” — Magda G.

“I had a breathwork session with Sara that genuinely surprised me in the best way. I expected it to be helpful, but I didn’t anticipate how deep and impactful it would feel. The experience was profoundly valuable — honestly on par with the depth and insight I’ve gotten from therapy involving psychedelic experiences.” — Richard R.

“Sara holds space with such a beautiful balance of confidence and gentleness. It’s clear she really knows her craft — especially when it comes to trauma and how it shows up in the body. I felt real shifts after our session.” — Josh H.

“What stood out most was how genuinely seen and safe I felt. Sara has a calming presence that allows you to soften without pressure or performance. The session helped me access emotions I’d been holding onto for years. Afterward I felt a level of peace and emotional release that stayed with me for days.” — Lauren M.

  • Each session is a little different, depending on what you need.

We’ll start with a short check-in to understand what’s coming up for you. From there, we may work with conversation, breath, or other supportive tools to help you move through it in a grounded, manageable way.

There’s no pressure to do anything specific. We go at your pace.

  • If you’re not sure, that’s completely okay.

Most people start with a Support Session, especially if they’re new to this work or just want a place to talk and feel things through.

The Breathwork Session is a deeper, more body-based experience for when you feel ready to go beyond talking and into release and regulation through the breath.

If you’re unsure, we can figure it out together.

  • The Support Session is more flexible and conversational. It can include breath, grounding tools, and even creative expression, but it’s centered around meeting you where you are.

The Breathwork Session is a longer, more immersive experience focused on the body. It uses a guided breath practice to help release stored stress or emotion and regulate your nervous system more deeply.

  • No experience is needed.

Everything is guided, and we’ll keep it simple and approachable. You don’t need to know anything beforehand—just come as you are.

  • It varies from person to person.

You might feel relaxed, emotional, clear, or simply more present. Some sessions feel subtle, others feel more noticeable.

There’s no “right” way to experience it.

  • No—this isn’t therapy.

These sessions are supportive and can be deeply meaningful, but they’re not a replacement for licensed mental health care.

If you’re working with a therapist, this can be a complementary practice.

  • Yes, sessions can be done virtually.

We’ll adapt the experience so it still feels grounded and supportive, even from your own space.

  • That’s completely okay—and often a natural part of the process.

You’ll be supported through anything that comes up. Nothing needs to be pushed or forced, and we’ll move at a pace that feels manageable for you.

  • It really depends.

Some people come for a single session and get what they need. Others choose to continue for ongoing support.

There’s no expectation—just what feels right for you.
